Trustee Vacancies

We are currently open to applications for new Trustees to join the Community Forest Trust (CFT) Board.

All our trustees are committed to helping take our organisation through the next few years of dynamic and exciting change, expansion of operations and on-the-ground delivery.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to a high-profile agenda and inform the delivery of national programmes of tree planting.

Community Forest Trust (CFT) is the national champion for England’s Community Forests. Community forestry is all about involving people in planting trees and looking after woodlands, creating greener places that urban communities can enjoy.

We are passionate about the power of trees to transform places and strengthen and enhance communities.

CFT has small but dynamic team and is a registered charity with a Board of Trustees.

Currently CFT is directly supporting The Mersey Forest, White Rose Forest, Great Western Community Forest, Cumbria Community Forest and North East Community Forest.

One of our signature programmes is the Northern Forest plan to plant millions of trees across the North. In addition, CFT supports other Community Forests across England by helping to administer grants and offer advice and support.

CFT is also currently working with the entire network of fifteen Community Forests across England to realise Trees for Climate, a major programme of tree planting to address climate change.

We’re operating on a rolling recruitment basis, interviewing candidates as they come forward.

We particularly encourage applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic candidates who are underrepresented in our organisation.
