Trustee Vacancies

Our Board of trustees has a mix of skills in finance, investment banking, HR, forestry, environment and civil engineering. Our trustees play a vital role in making sure that CFT achieves its core purpose. They oversee the overall management of the charity. They also ensure that we have a clear strategy and that our work is in line with our vision. Board members have a collective responsibility. This means that trustees always act as a group and not as individuals.

The Board of Trustees meet on a quarterly basis. Where necessary, additional meetings are arranged.

There are two Board sub-committees which meet quarterly:

·        Finance, Audit and Risk (F&R)

·        Human Resources

If you are ready to help support, enable and champion the work of Community Forests across England, we would love to hear from you. While prior leadership, governance, or advisory experience is welcomed, we also encourage first-time trustees to apply. We are especially keen to hear from individuals from diverse backgrounds and younger candidates, as we work to make our board representative and inclusive, ensuring that the voices around our Board table reflect and understand the communities we exist to serve.

We’re operating on a rolling recruitment basis, interviewing candidates as they come forward.
